Join us for the Sixth Annual Winter Wander, your chance to sweat off those holiday treats while crushing your fitness goals. This is our grand finale challenge for the year, supporting our pals in Western North Carolina as they continue to bounce back from Hurricane Helene. Pick your pace from six average daily distance goals – 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, or 15 miles a day.
Whether you wander, walk, jog, hike, run, swim, paddle, ski, bike, or convert your activity miles, your journey kicks off in a town named like the witchy town of Salem on Halloween. Then, it’s full steam ahead to Asheville, NC, to soak up the holiday spirit at the majestic Biltmore Estate. Commit to 62 days of intentional movement and join our lively community focused on fun, accountability, and encouragement. Jump in from October 31 to December 31 and make waves for those still weathering the storm's aftermath in and around Asheville, all while boosting your own well-being! Drop into the Wilkes Heritage Museum, home of the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame. Stroll southwest to Marion, a charming little town in the Blue Ridge Mountains' foothills and host of the WNC Bigfoot Festival. Wander through the Pisgah National Forest and refuel at the Old Fort Picnic Area. Saunter through Black Mountain's quaint historic district, known as the “front porch of Western North Carolina.” Conclude your Westward Wander at the grand Biltmore Estate in Asheville, just in time to enjoy the holiday spirit!

Feel the almost-heavenly vibes of West Virginia before soaking up the scenic Shenandoah region in Virginia. Cruise southward into North Carolina, breeze through Mount Airy, and head southwest to cozy Marion, NC, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and famous for its WNC Bigfoot Festival! Continue westward, perhaps pausing for a sip at Black Mountain Cider + Mead, before ending at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, just in time to deck the halls for the holidays!
We adore Kiddos and Fur Babies, and we would be thrilled to have them participate in the Sixth Annual Winter Wander! All children and pets under the age of 18 can register for just $30, with a discount applied automatically at checkout. Instead of a medal, Fur Babies will receive a special pet award. When registering your furry friend, please include their type in their name, such as Dog, Cat, or Hamster. For example, Maverick (Dog) Griffin. 🐕
